Remember when you were a child and you played “Follow the Leader”?. You did everything the leader did. They did all kinds the antics and you tried to do exactly what they did. It was a lot of fun. Now you have grown up and have watched , criticized, and maybe followed what a leader does. But have you ever thought about what the word leadership means? Is it someone that attains a high office? Is it someone that inspires you? Is it someone you admire or wonder how in the world did they ever get to that position? Here are a few quotes that I have found that signify leadership:
“Great leaders are not defined by the absence of weakness, but rather by the presence of clear strengths” – John Zenger
“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader” – John Quincy Adams
“Leaders aren’t born, they are made. And they are made just like anything else, through hard work. And that’s the price to pay to achieve that goal, or any goal.” – Vince Lombardi
“A good leader is a person who takes a little more than his share of the blame and a little less than his share of the credit” – John Maxwell
And last but certainly not least, “The supreme quality of leadership is integrity” – Dwight Eisenhower
What is your definition of leadership? I’d love to hear from you!
Let’s make this a great week – let’s be extra good to each other…let’s be REALTORS®.
