I know it’s a weird title, but bear with me! I just returned from San Francisco and the NAR meetings. Twelve thousand people turned out for the Make-A-Wish for one little boy. He has leukemia and has always wanted to be Batman and save the world. The district attorney and FBI prepared an arrest warrant for the Penguin, the Joker and the Riddler for terrifying the city and stealing the San Francisco Giants mascot Lou Seal and various other devious acts.
Miles Scott, five years old, became Batkid for a day. He rescued a damsel in distress, foiled the Riddler at a bank, and rescued the Giants’ mascot from the Penguin. The City of San Francisco went all out for Batkid as he was the hero for the day.
So one little 5 year old captured the hearts of San Francisco for the day. The compassion, that was shown was amazing. We as REALTORS, do that every day. How you say? We sell homes, yes they are bricks and mortar, but they are much more than that. We go out of our way for our clients, finding the right property for them. We help to create the environment for their families to flourish, to educate, to gather together for holidays and just be together. We are our own Make-A-Wish foundation. Many of us go way beyond that, we volunteer for various charities, schools, to help our neighborhoods. So this is what floats our boats…!
Until Next Monday…
