Something to think about…

GoalsI was listening to a Zig Ziglar CD the other day and it really made an impact on me.  Zig made me ask myself: Am I a “wandering generality” or a “meaningful specific“?  The answer is all about goals, our direction in life.  Somedays I think I am a partial generality ~ not necessarily following the goals I have chosen ~ sound familiar?  According to Zig, that is not a good thing.  He says we need goals, we need direction in life.  Most of the time, I think that we tend not to follow our goals because the goals we pick are easy, or non specific.  Zig believes that we tend not to follow or even set goals because we are afraid.  I can believe that.  It takes a lot of guts ~ or other human parts ~  to follow the goals or path we have laid out for ourselves.

As REALTORS, we subscribe to the Code of Ethics, but I witness every day violations toright wrong the Code.  It’s so easy to go down the wrong road, so much easier than the right way.  Same as our goals.  Once we have developed our goals it’s so easy to disregard them, so easy to ignore them.  And so my fellow REALTORS, more about goals next week…but this is certainly something to think about.

Let’s be good to each other…Let’s be REALTORS

Until next Monday…
