Calling All REALTORS!

Who: You…Me…REALTORS® from across the United States

What: REALTOR® Rally in DC

Where: Washington D.C.

When: May 17th, 2012 – 10:00 am – 11:30 am

Why: Because WE, You and Me, need to show Congress HOW MUCH HOUSING MATTERS TO AMERICA

Homeownership is the fabric of our culture, our society, our families.  Bernacke told Congress three weeks ago that if they didn’t do something to stimulate the housing market that we will be in this recession for an even longer period of time.  If you don’t believe that housing and homeownership make that much of a difference to this economy, take a look at these stats:

Home sales in this country generate more than 2.5 million private-sector jobs in an average year. For every two homes sold, a job is created.
– Each home sale touches dozens of different professions.
– Every home purchased pumps up to $60,000 into the economy over time for furniture, home improvements, and related items.
– Housing accounts for more than 15% of the Gross Domestic Product, making it a key driver in our national economy.
Housing has led this country out of six of the last eight recessions.

As I said prior to Tallahassee: The time is NOW.  This is OUR TIME!  We need to make our voices heard.  I need to be there. YOU need to be there. WE need to be there to show America that WE care about housing.  We need to show Congress that We care.  Mark your calendars.

Until Next Monday…
